Tischlein Deck Dich

Hey! I'm Dave. Today I want to tell you about an organization "Tischlein Deck Dich" that exists for 15 years and collects 30-40 tonns of food each week, from all food stores and a lot of restaurants from Vorarlberg. They collect all the food from bread to vegetables and from meat to frozen pizzas! In their main working space in Vandans, a group from around 15 Persons are unloading food from the 6 self-owned trucks. They sort it out in "usable" and "not usable", everything that's not good anymore they put separate and give it to the farmers in the surrounding area. The usable food they usually sort out what they can use today and sometimes like with dairy products and meat they put some to the freezer for usage when they have shortages. After they collected everything, sorted it out, they are loading the trucks again to send them to one of the five cities for the food-sharing. One city each weekday. People need to register at their local city government and they will be checked if they need it, due to income. 8 hours on Wednesday I'm helping them to sort all the food out. In the following pictures, you see the bags of Bread that were over on Wednesday.

They needed 6 bags of bread for the people (somewhere around 50 families) and those bags went to the farmers. This is Bread of just ONE day! Also, there is a picture from the storage room, this is one of five.

Also, there is a picture from the storage room, this is one of five. Where they store all products that come in Palets from manufactures itself. Lately, they got 120 Palets of dry black Oreo cookies (without cream) because they produced too much. If Tischlein Deck Dich wasn't there it would be destroyed. If Tischlein Deck Dick is getting so much like this, they will split it to Vienna and Germany to other Food-Banks. I will continue to work there as long as possible! They need every hand that they can get!

Cutout animation

Cutout animation is a form of stop-motion animation using flat characters, props and backgrounds cut from materials such as paper, card, stiff fabric or even photographs. The props would be cut out and used as puppets for stop motion. The world's earliest known animated feature films were cutout animations (made in Argentina by Quirino Cristiani), as is the world's earliest surviving animated feature Die Abenteuer des Prinzen Achmed.

Our friends made several animations for you, that we would like to share. Credits go to Monika Papikyan, Ayshan Hamzazada, Mehmet Seçkin.
